Can I attend an open level class if I am pregnant?
The general advice on exercising during pregnancy is not to take up anything new. We have specific Prenatal classes that you can join if you are new to yoga and reformer pilates. Please book into these if you have never done yoga or reformer pilates before.
Yoga - If you had a regular yoga practice before you were pregnant, it’s most likely fine to continue joining those classes with modifications. Most of our teachers are pre and postnatal trained, so please make the teacher aware at the beginning of class so they can provide suitable modifications.
Barre & Pilates - If you do a lot of exercise and these classes are something you did before you were pregnant then, it may be fine to continue with some modifications depending on the stage of pregnancy you’re at.
As these classes are more core focused, they require a lot more modifying than yoga, so the class may not be suitable. Please contact the studio before attending a barre or pilates class
Reformer Pilates - If you did Reformer Pilates before you were pregnant then, it may be fine to continue with some modifications depending on the stage of pregnancy you’re at. In reformer classes we focus a lot on the core and lie on our back a lot so modifying would be essential.
Level 3 Reformer Flow and Power Reformer classes are NOT suitable at any stage during pregnancy. If you're pregnant and less than 20 weeks, you may be able to attend a Level 1 or Level 2 Reformer class, but it is essential that you contact the studio before booking any non prenatal reformer pilates classes before attending.
It is preferable for anyone who is pregnant to attend our Prenatal Reformer Pilates classes which happen twice weekly.

I have booked on the waitlist for a class. What does that mean?
When you book yourself onto the waitlist for a class, you are essentially in a queue for an available spot on the attendance list.If a spot becomes available for you, you are automatically bumped up onto the attendance list. Our waitlist is automated up until an hour before the class start time.
Make sure to remove yourself from the waitlist if you can no longer make a class, as standard T&Cs apply if you get bumped into the class.
If you don’t get added to the class, the credit you used to join the waitlist will go back onto your account so you can use it for a future class.
-
